From Hat
trick's family:
Hi Bonnie,
Just wanted to let you know that
Hat Trick is doing great. He cried in the car for a little, but then he was
fine. He did a little tour of the house when we first got home and already
knows his way around. We have been taking him outside to potty and he has
only had one accident in the house all day. We use the praise and reward
method, every time he goes outside it's like a big party and he gets a treat.
I see what you mean, he sure is
fiesty. He really doesn't know how small he is. But then again, that's true
about yorkies in general.
Slap Shot is a little confused, but
is slowly adapting. We keep reassuring him that we love him just as much as
ever and he is not being replaced.
I wanted to tell you, I can't
beleive the difference in the transition of both Slap Shot and Hat Trick.
We bought Slap Shot from a Kennel
and he was absolutely scared to death from the time we first held him up until
4 or 5 days later. It took him that long to even begin to adjust to us and
our home. Every time we held him he just shook with fear. We bought him a
pet bed before we picked him up and for the first 4 to 5 days he was home he
would not step foot outside that bed. He's fine now, but we were a little
worried at first.
Hat Trick on the other hand is
totally different. He walked all around investigating every inch of the house
and just loved all of us with hugs and kisses. We can see that he has been
loved, cared for and socialized so well.
We have definitely learned our
lesson. We will never buy from a kennel again.
Thank you for giving us such a
wonderful pet (son).
Thanks Again, Karen

From Zeta's
Family:
Hey Bonnie,
It's me Anne. I just wanted to touch base with you. I am at work, my mother
left this morning about 7:30 or so. Zeta is doing well, she called from
Connecticut telling me that most of the ride home he lay curled under the nape
of my mother's neck...I told her I'm reporting her for not having him in a
seat belt.
Yesterday he did really well, he only whimpered a bit on the ride to my
house. I held him up front away from the "crowd" in the back seat and that
helped a lot. When we arrived home he adjusted quickly. I was really
surprised that he adjusted so well so fast...he is a little feisty. He kept
biting my mom's pants, her socks and nibbling on my daughters toes.
Throughout the day he played napped and ate pretty well. The kids were real
gentle with him and let him get adjusted without over stimulating him.
At
night he played in my bedroom...it was so cute because he cried and tried to
climb on the bed, when I picked him up he flopped himself down and went right
to sleep...
My
mom bought him a little basket bed with a blue cushion and as soon as we got
to the house he jumped right it. He slept in it all night with my mom's shirt
that she had on all day and he did not make a peep.
My
mom bought him the Eukenueba puppy food and he likes it a lot. He has been
eating well and my mom has all the necessary food items, Karo syrup, Nutri-cal...the
only thing she still needs to pick up is the cottage cheese. He did eat a
little bit of scrambled eggs- mom said she read on line that this is ok...I
hope it is because he liked them...
He
is a darling little sprout. He has been peeing on the pads but is more
challenged positioning "number two"...he found a special spot on my rug that
he liked better- but I'm sure he will get better with practice. I have
encouraged my mom to buy the training system you have suggested.
Thank you for choosing us to take care of him.
We
will try to fill your shoes the best we can.
Talk to you soon.
Love Anne
