We ended up keeping Maggie and Seamus's puppy "Charlie"

My son Michael and my husband Jim fell in love with him, I knew it was a done deal when I was explaining to my 2 yr old granddaughter Emily that her favorite puppy, she named him Dragon, wouldn't be here after the weekend. that he was going to live with his big brother George ( a puppy from our last litter) and his new mommy Susan.

Emily just stood there looking up at me with those big eyes and said "but Dreamy (that's what she calls me, when she was younger she couldn't say Grammy) I wuv him.

And I knew Charlie wasn't going anywhere!

Calling Susan to tell her that we would be keeping him was so hard but I had no choice... look at these two...

Could YOU do it? hahaha

Here they are at 9 weeks

Teagan fits right in with the puppies!

George is such a big baby he has to be "on" someone all the time! Poor Banjo probably can't breath! hahaha And Coco knows to just stay out of the way!

Wow raising Yorkie puppies is such hard work..... NOT!

The family photo!

How sweet is he? He has the face of an angel!

Teagan is my new baby, we got her on July 1st, she came from a breeder that only breeds champions and has had a hard time trusting people.

Teagan is the perfect example of the difference between an AKC Champion Breeder and ME a Home Breeder!

We have had Teagan for 2 weeks now and she is just starting to trust us. Its really sad, you can tell that she had very little if any human contact. Just goes to prove that even I can be fooled, I checked the breeder out, did all my research and still I was fooled. Not only has this poor baby not had any social contact but after paying top dollar for her I received her papers only to find out that the breeder had limited her registration! When I questioned her she said to just send her back, I would NEVER send her back to that horrible place! Then I was told to keep her for a year and if she didn't turn out the way I wanted her too just send her back and she would send me another one!!!!

We are working really hard with her, she is slowly gaining trust. We are giving her all the time she needs and letting her come to us when she is ready. Slowly she is getting better and better but we have a long way to go with her, and Im not sure she will ever get past it. But we will just continue to give her lots of hugs and kisses and hope for the best.

She has made me decide not to ship any of my puppies, I have never shipped them but I was considering it. I just think its better to have people meet the dog and the breeder in person, to have a relationship with each other. I want to know the people that will be raising them and I want them to know that I am here to help them with any issues that may arise.

Seeing the difference in Teagan and my puppies only made me even more sure that my way of breeding is much better than the so called "reputable" breeders!

UPDATE 9-17-05

It has taken MONTHS and a lot of patience but Teagan is finally learning to trust us. She has had quite a few breakthroughs this week! She actually comes to me now and jumps for me to pick her up! That may not sound like a big deal but for Teagan trust me it is! She is still a little leary about staying on my lap but we are working on that.

She has been a lot of work and still has a long way to go but she is worth every second of it!

UPDATE 10-06

I really should have updated this months ago but I just haven't had the time. Teagan is doing GREAT! We started keeping her in bed with us at night back in January and it made such a difference! Then while she was pregnant she started wanting to be on my lap all the time and since the pups she has just become a new dog! She is still a little stand offish with strangers but is wonderful with our family.

                                                                                Wizdog - Indoor Dog Potty

I have to tell you about this product! I ordered it for my full grown Yorkies and decided that maybe I would give it a try with the puppies.... I have NEVER seen anything like it!

At 5 weeks old my puppies TRAINED THEMSELVES in less than 2 days!

The only accidents they had from that point on was when their faces were on the Wizdog but their butts weren't! I will be using this for ALL my litters!

From this point on my puppies will go home with their new families FULLY TRAINED!

Anyone that has ever had a puppy or a litter of puppies knows that the worst part is that the pups always look dirty because of the newspaper ink, and they always have wet little paws from walking in the mess.... NO MORE...with wizdog they never step in the mess again! And it's so easy to clean! If you live in an apartment or if you have to leave your dog for long periods of time Wizdog is PERFECT! No more rushing home to take the dog out, and they don't have to wait for you! NO MORE ACCIDENTS, NO MORE GETTING UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN... NO MORE GOING OUT IN THE COLD OR RAIN!
